POWER SKIFFS & DORIES
Our Willamette River skiff is a modest, practical boat that is built to take care of business. It may be a throwback to the days when a flat bottom skiff was like a second car in some riverside communities. With an outboard motor of 10 to 25 horsepower this boat will perform a multitude of chores from fishing, hunting and crabbing to picnicking and exploring with the family.
Our ocean dory is a light version of the fishing dories built and used out of Pacific City on the Oregon coast. These boats traditionally were 20 to 24 feet long and ran with a 70 horsepower motor in a well. Ours are 17.5 to 19 feet and run with a 25 to 50 horsepower motor hung off the transom. Both of these flat bottom boats require less horsepower, plane at a lower speed and are more fuel efficient than their v-bottom counterpart.
